The Kollam Munsiff Court has passed an Order of Injunction restraining the Parish Priest from continuing the construction activities at Pullichira. The Order has been passed in a Suit filed by the Pullichira Edavaka Samrakshana Samithy (O.S 926/2009) through Advocates M.I.Alexander Panicker, Boris Paul & G.Vijayakumar. The Order has been served upon the Parish Priest by the Amin of the Court in the evening. The Honourable Court has also deputed an Advocate Commissioner and directed him to visit the site today itself and to prepare a Mahazar and Report. The Commissioner, Adv Renjith has visited the site today evening.

The Parish Priest of Pullichira had no respect to the Government Order directing stoppage of construction. He defied the Government Order and continued with the construction activities day and night challenging the law of the land. Politicians of the Ruling Front had helped him by obstructing the Mayyanad Panchayat Secretary from taking action as per the Government Order. The Parish Priest is running from Pillar to Post to get the Government Order vacated. He has no time for religious activities!

The Kollam Bishop is a silent witness to all these illegalities committed by the Parish Priest! It is a huge shame upon him!!

To defy a lawful Order is a crime. When a Priest is committing such a crime, where have the Canonic laws gone? The Bishop of Kollam lacks courage to oust this lawbreaker Priest from Pullichira. It is reliably learnt that he is under some sort of threat or fear, that makes him unable to take any action against the erring Priest!

When our Society was registered under Indian laws, the Bishop of Kollam threatened us of Canonic action! Now we call upon the Bishop to take Canonic action against this lawbreaker Parish Priest of Pullichira!

Save the face of Kollam Diocese by ousting such Priests! History will not forgive you if you do not act in time, dear Bishop!
