The Kollam District Registrar is transferred. The Kollam District Registrar had exceeded her jurisdiction and had take unwarranted action against the Pullichira Edavaka Samrakshana samithy. The Honourable High Court was pleased to stay her Order directing us to amend our Bylaw. The District Registrar had not cared about the Stay granted by the High Court and went further with an Order of injunction against the functioning of the Samithy. When legal Notice of proposed Contempt proceedings was served on her, she passed another Order banning her own Order! The Deputy IG of Registration had passed an Order categorically stating that the District Registrar had given false information to the Legal Advisor of the Samithy upon an Application filed under the Right to Information Act. He had specifically directed to furnish correct information to the effect that the District Registrar had no powers to act against the Samithy under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific & Charitable Societies Act. Even after the statutory period, the District Registrar failed to supply the true information under the RTI Act. Now the Samithy is proceeding with further action against her before the Kerala State Information Commission. The Samithy is thankful to the Government that it transferred the District Registrar who exceeded her jurisdiction and powers to help the unlawful activities of a Priest. Hope this will send sufficient messages to Government Officials who tend to help this erring Priest!
